Summary of Job Description A Triton EWOP SME & Instructor's assigned work requires originality and judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.  This individual is recognized as fully competent in all conventional aspects of the functional areas of assignment and, as such, requires the demonstrated ability to create concepts and products.  The Senior Analyst receives direct supervision and guidance primarily on novel or controversial problems or questions, and must make independent technical decisions on details of work covered by precedents.

The Triton EWOP SME & Instructor, working in his/her particular technical field of endeavor, plans, schedules, and coordinates detailed phases of the analytical work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.  He/she devises new approaches to problems encountered and, as such, performs work which requires conventional and advanced analytical practices and which includes a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials or equipment, data processes, and difficult coordination requirements.  The assigned work requires a broad knowledge of precedents in the technical specialty area and a good knowledge of principles and practices of related specialties.

The Triton EWOP SME develops the material required to train the Triton aircrew testers and FIT.  The SME develops and delivers all source material, curriculum and courseware to accomplish training in accordance with the Navy Schedules.  The training will emphasize the differences inherent in the differences from baseline Triton to Triton Multi-Int. 

  • Develop a list of appropriate lesson topics for the Triton aircrew.
  • Support the Navy Triton Test Team in NAS Patuxent River, Maryland, the Triton Fleet Introduction Team (FIT) in Jacksonville, Florida, Whidbey Island Washington and at new Triton bases for Fleet training as needed for the training subjects.
  • Develop courseware which enables self-paced learning/study.  The courseware shall include but not limited to baseline Triton to Multi- Int Triton "differences" lessons.
  • Assist in weapon system trainers as needed to develop and evaluate training products.
  • Assist in mission system desktop trainers as needed to develop and evaluate training products.
  • Analyze and identify any potential training requirements that are not being addressed by the Triton program.  The SME will offer recommendations and solutions to solve potential gaps.
  • The SME should be a qualified Weapons Tactical Trainer (WTT) instructor.
  • The SME should be a qualified electronic classroom and Mission System Desktop Trainer (MSDT) instructor.
  • Research technical and procedural information related to MPRA ISR related missions, testing and training.
  • Coordinate and organize technical and procedural information for implementation into MPRA courseware.
  • Instruct MPRA classroom lectures.
  • Instruct MPRA device and simulator sessions for new and qualified Triton aircrew.
  • Coordinate Triton FIT direct support for courseware and scenario reviews and training device integration, acceptance, and operator instruction.
  • Assist Triton FIT with fleet transition teaches and Triton FRS startup.
  • Coordinate Triton training schedules between Jacksonville, FL, Patuxent River, MD, and Whidbey Island, WA.
  • Assist MPRWS with Fleet Introduction Training of new MQ-4 software.
  • Assist with development and instruction of SIGINT Coordinator Course.
  • Assist with development and instruction of EWOP course
  • Research and analyze intelligence sources for courseware development and fleet integration.

Qualifications:  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability that an individual must be able to perform satisfactorily in order to be successful at this position. 

Education/Experience:  A Senior Analyst requires a minimum of 5 years related technical experience in addition to a Bachelor's degree.  An additional 5 years of related experience is required in lieu of a degree.

  • MQ-4C MPO Fleet NATOPS Instructor required.
  • MQ-4C MPO FRS instructor required.
  • MQ-4C Multi-Int Operator required.
  • MQ-4C JMPS experience required.
  • P-8A qualified EWO required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Clearance Levels:  Current Top Secret Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation

Computer Skills:  Employee must be proficient in Adobe Systems, SharePoint, Microsoft Outlook, Cisco WebEx and Microsoft Office Products.   Employee must be able to adapt to evolving technology.

Other Qualifications:  This position requires frequent travel to government facilities in Patuxent River, MD and Jacksonville, FL as well as various other MQ-4 development and test sites.
